      Description

Sporicidin® Mold & Mildew Stain Remover is formulated specifically for water damage restoration and mold remediation projects where mold, mildew and other microbial growth have impacted building materials. Sporicidin® Mold & Mildew Stain Remover utilizes special surfactants and 7.5% hydrogen peroxide to aggressively remove tough biological stains from porous, semi-porous, and non-porous materials. When applied, the proprietary formula creates deep-cleaning foam that breaks apart contamination, lifting and flushing it from the surface, while penetrating into the surface to oxidize and remove organic stains. Once the cleaning and bleaching action has finished, Sporicidin® Mold & Mildew Stain Remover decomposes into harmless water and oxygen, leaving no chemical residues to clean up. Complies with Carolina Protocol for Mold Remediation.

APPLICATION METHODS: Sporicidin® Mold & Mildew Stain Remover can be applied using a foaming sprayer, airless sprayer, HVLP sprayer, pressure sprayer, trigger sprayer, brush, or mop.

COVERAGE RATES: Porous materials up to 600 ft2 per gallon. Non-porous materials up to 1200 ft2 per gallon. Coverage rates are approximate and will vary by application method, porosity of substrate, air flow and temperature.
APPLICATION: Make certain the application device has been properly cleaned and rinsed free of other chemical products or contaminates prior to adding Sporicidin® Mold & Mildew Stain Remover.
1 - Apply Sporicidin® Mold & Mildew Stain Remover directly to the contaminated materials in a sufficient quantity to allow the surfaces to remain wet at least 10 minutes to allow time to penetrate and generate steady foaming action. NOTE: When applying to open areas exposed to the outdoor environment, it is recommended to apply using a professional-grade foaming sprayer to insure the proper dwell time is achieved.
2 - Areas of heavy contamination and staining may be scrubbed with a stiff bristle brush to help speed up the cleaning action and work the product deeper into the substrate. Once the foaming action has subsided, inspect the treated materials to see if any areas need a second application to remove stubborn staining. If so, repeat applications until desired results are achieved.
3 - After final application, allow the treated materials to dry completely for 24 hours, during which time the brightening effects will continue. Once dried, the surfaces may be coated and protected with one of Sporicidin’s Mold Resistant Coatings to encapsulate and seal any residual particulates, providing long-term protection against moisture and surface mold growth.
4 – Clean up: Discard any unused product at the end of the application – DO NOT RETURN IT TO THE ORIGINAL CONTAINER. Rinse application device thoroughly with water, making sure that hose, wand,  and sprayer assembly are rinsed clean also.
LIMITATIONS: The use of this product does not guarantee health-related or indoor air quality issues will be eliminated or reduced. Prior to using on high pressure plastic fire sprinkler systems it is suggested to consult with the sprinkler system manufacturer/installer to insure material compatibility with hydrogen peroxides and/or cationic-nonionic surfactants. Avoid applying directly onto copper plumbing commonly found in crawlspaces of older homes. Do not apply to unsealed marble, granite, or other decorative stone surfaces. Always perform a color stability test on fabrics and textiles prior to application.
STORAGE & DISPOSAL: Store containers in upright position in a cool, well-vented area, away from direct sunlight. Do not allow product to freeze or become overheated. Empty containers as thoroughly as possible and put in trash or offer for recycling. Small spills may be flushed to an approved sewer line with generous amounts of water. Larger spills should be contained and removed with an inert absorbent (e.g., vermiculite, dry sand, earth), placed in a chemical waste container and disposed of in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations.  Do not use combustible materials, such as saw dust.
